Adam Donaldson Powell (born in 1954 in Buffalo, USA) is a professional visual artist (since 1995) and a writer (since 1987). He has published 8 books, in USA, Norway and India, as well as several short works in literary publications. He has previously authored theatrical works performed onstage in Norway. Adam often combines his interests in community and international issues with art, and he has been quite active in art and cultural debates, with focus on world art.
Né à Buffalo, USA, en 1954, Adam Donaldson Powell est un écrivain (depuis 1987) et un artiste professionnel, aussi bien en peinture qu'en photographie (depuis 1995). Il a publié 8 livres, aux USA, en Norvège et en Inde, outre des nouvelles, des essais et des poèmes dans des revues littéraires. Il a également été l'auteur de pièces de théatre qui ont été jouées en Norvège. Ses oeuvres évoquent souvent l'actualité brûlante et les sujets artistiques. Il a aussi pris part à ou organisé des débats ayant trait à la culture en général et à l'art dans toutes ses formes.

comunitarios y temas internacionales con el arte, donde se ha destacado con
su activa participación en debates artísticos y culturales, centralizando la atención en el Arte del Mundo.

Han har gitt ut 8 bøker, henholdsvis i USA, Norge og India, så vel som flere korte arbeider i skjønnlitteræreblader. Han har i tillegg skrevet teaterstykker oppført på scene i Norge. Adam kombinerer gjerne hans interesse for samfunns-/verdenspolitikk med kunst, og han har tidligere vært svært aktiv som kunst-/kulturdebattant, med hovedfokus på verdenskunst.
